- UK News. The latest video of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dancing doesn't anger King Charles for one reason
In an unexpected turn of events, Brooke Shields' comments about Meghan Markle on a recent podcast episode have been quietly removed from the internet. What makes this even more intriguing is that the podcast in question was hosted by India Hicks, King Charles' goddaughter. The episode, which originally featured Brooke reflecting on a past with Meghan, has now mysteriously disappeared, with links leading to a "page not found" message.
The podcast discussion centered around a South by Southwest (SXSW) in March 2024 titled "Breaking Barriers, Shaping Narratives: How Women Lead On and Off the Screen." During this event, Meghan shared a story about her efforts as an 11-year-old to advocate for gender equality.
She spoke about writing to Procter & Gamble after seeing a commercial that implied washing dishes was exclusively a woman's job. According to Brooke, Meghan explained, "I didn't think only women wash dishes. It wasn't fair. So I wrote to the company." Meghan's letter reportedly led to the company changing the ad's language.
While the anecdote was undoubtedly inspiring, Brooke found it "serious" and "precious," which she itted during the podcast. She recounted interrupting Meghan during the : "I go, 'Excuse me, I'm so sorry, I've got to interrupt you there for one minute.' I was trying not to be rude, but I wanted to be funny because it was so serious." Brooke then added a humorous comparison about their childhoods, saying, "When I was 11, I was playing a prostitute."
Shields reflects on Markle
Brooke claimed her interjection lightened the mood of the discussion. "She kept saying she was 11! ... It was just too precious, and I was like, they're not going to want to sit here for 45 minutes and listen to anybody be precious or serious," she explained. According to her, the joke made the talk feel "more relaxed."
While Brooke's comments sparked curiosity, the decision to delete the episode remains unexplained. India Hicks has not provided any public reasoning for the removal. However, the sudden disappearance has left many wondering if the royal connection played a role in this situation.
This incident highlights how sensitive discussions involving public figures like Meghan Markle can quickly attract attention and scrutiny-and sometimes even prompt swift action.
