In June 2025, these beneficiaries already received their payment on Tuesday, June 3. This exception affects a significant segment of the older population who have been in the system for decades.

A particular case this month is that of the beneficiaries of Supplemental Security Income (SSI). These recipients will not receive any payments during June. However, this should not cause concern, as the SSA issued two SSI payments in May to offset the calendar setting. The SSA recommends that beneficiaries wait an additional three days for postal delivery before ing the agency if a payment does not arrive as scheduled. However, this advice applies to a minority, as currently 99% of Social Security payments are delivered electronically, which significantly minimizes delays in receiving funds.
