The final of Roland Garros between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner not only left tennis fans amazed. The Spaniard and the Italian put on an anthological show for more than five hours, leaving a string of memorable shots. So much so that some of the greatest tennis players in history were full of praise for the level exhibited by both players.
This was the case of John McEnroe, one of Eurosport's star collaborators. The former American tennis player, winner of seven Grand Slam titles -all his titles were at Wimbledon and the US Open- and a finalist in Paris in 1984, could not believe what he was seeing given the level displayed by 'Carlitos' and Sinner.

Sweden Mats Wilander, another Eurosport expert, did not hold back when it came to assessing what was happening at the Philippe Chatrier.

I never thought I would say this, but Carlos and Jannik play faster than ever. Federer and Nadal have played good finals, but nothing comes close to them," said the seven-time Grand Slam winner.
