Rookie wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter is causing sensation during training camp, as the Jacksonville Jaguars player hopes to become one of the new faces of the NFL.

The 2024 Heisman Trophy winner is expected to play extensively on both offense and defense, something that will make him a must-see show.

Defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile has some early praise for Hunter. "He's a really, really bright guy. Everybody has been really impressed with his ability to retain the information. He has been out there with us on defense. He was on offense. He has done a great job with that. I can't imagine another guy being any better suited to handle that."

Despite his versatility and talent, Hunter has sparked some criticism due to the fact that he seems to have too much fun during practice, dancing and celebrating each moment with every opportunity he has to take the football field.

A recent video posted online shows the former Colorado Buffaloes busting some dance moves, while his teammates appear to be trying to concentrate on the plays. This adds to the fact that several fans have reportedly fed up with Travis' antics.

"This dancing all around has gone too far. He needs to get back to his serious side and be an NFL professional," a social media commented. "I'm surprised that the veterans don't step in and bring him back to earth," someone else added.

Hunter receives love from his head coach

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Liam Coen called Travis Hunter's work with the defense a good one. "He's still learning. He has been learning a ton defensively and offensively, as we know. It wasn't a ton of 11 on 11, seven on seven. It was more fundamentals, techniques, communication."

Coen said Hunter - who is expected to be the first player NFL in nearly three decades to play extensively full-time both offense and defense - likely won't practice with both sides of the ball on the same day during OTAs, because the team will not put him in that situation.

"He still meets defensively every day that he's on offense, so he's getting the mental part of it and is able to catch up on some of the communication, some of the corrections off the film from the defensive side of the ball. He's getting a lot of the mental and it would probably be unfair to put him out on the grass and do both and ask him to go do that and see success."
